It's science! How it works to eliminate lightning Lightning strikes are produced when negative charges in a storm cloud connect to positive charges from the ground. Disrupt this connection and formation of lightning strikes is eliminated. That’s the genius science behind the CMCE device. It balances the electrical field by drawing in positive and negative ions and sending them to ground before lightning has a chance to form. The result: a lightning-safe “bubble” for your property and invaluable peace of mind for you.

The CMCE Lighting Suppressor is designed to prevent lightning from terminating where it is not wanted—inside its radius of protection. This is the only system that actively discourages lightning through deionization. These devices are not traditional “Franklin-style” lightning rods, which in fact attract lightning. Instead our devices create a strike-free bubble by balancing positive and negative atmospheric charges and sending them to the ground safely.
Time-tested technology In 1916, scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla
patented a 'lightning rod that inhibits lightning'. This dome shaped apparatus was never used in Tesla's time, but it is that rediscovered patent that the CMCE is based on. This 100 year old technology is still 100 percent effective today.

Lightning is a hazard of the sport Water-related activities including boating, fishing and swimming, contributed to 35% of all leisure-related lightning deaths. (National Lightning Safety Council)
Whether on a mooring, at anchor, dockside, or afloat, watercraft are a prime target for lightning strikes. It doesn’t take a seasoned sailor to know that storms are especially dangerous on the open water. A vessel struck by lightning is often likely to sink. Even if the boat stays afloat, the hazards posed can injure those on board or damage structual integrity and systems.
Beat the odds The odds of a boat being struck by lightning in any year are 1 per 1,000, increasing to 3.3 per 1,000 in particularly lightning prone locations such as Florida and other warm water destinations. (BoatUS Marine Insurance)
Device Specs: CMCE-55: 6 inches wide x 9 inches high, 5.1 lbs coverage radius of 55 meters/180 feet
One CMCE device installed at the highest point of the mast, along with an integrated grounding system, protects your boat and all aboard.
The majority of strikes are on sailboats, but lightning is also known to strike power boats, houseboats, fishing vessels and even PWC.

Major League Ballpark
Zero strikes since installation Ballparks are usually a magnet for lightning strikes. But one ballpark, the home of the Cincinnati Reds, has been strike-free since installation of CMCE devices in 2019. They are now a pilot project for Major League Baseball, who is considering the technology for installation in other locations nationwide. “Our number one responsibility is the safety of the people in this ballpark, said Reds vice president of ballpark operations Tim O’Connell, “and if we can have another tool to make this a safer place, I’m all for it.” (attribution: The Washington Post, 9/17/21)

VinPearl Hai Phong Device Protection Map
Property: VinPearl Golf Course, Hai Phong, Vietnam; designed by IMG
Protection: A grid of 50 CMCE-120 devices mounted on 15-meter high lighting poles, made of hollow steel Device Specs: 9.5 inches wide x 14.5 inches high, 17.5 lbs, coverage radius of 120 meters/393.7 feet
Maximum Protection Installed The resort is a popular golf destination with an average of 100 people on the course per day (customers and employees.) Because the area has a high lightning strike density (88 strikes recorded by NASA in 2020), the client opted to install a grid of CMCE devices for maximum possible coverage.
A network of 50 CMCE devices provides overlapping bubbles of protection over a golf complex with 36 holes, a driving range and a club- house spread over 3.5 sq miles
Project development time was 4 months and upon completion has served to mitigate the danger of lightning for clients and personnel. CMCE technology is responsible for cancelling the formation of lightning within this protection area.
